Lucas discovers sand!

This weekend we had amazing weather as it seemed we totally passed by spring and went straight to summer. On Saturday our family headed for Santa Monica beach and what would be Lucas's first experience with sand! We watched his reaction as he sunk his chubby little feet into the soft grains. Intrigued, we could almost see him processing all the new sensations. He sat for the longest time and played with the sand, picking it up and letting it run through his fingers. When he got tired he blissfully laid down under the umbrella and enjoyed the sound of ocean waves, seagulls chattering and kids laughing nearby. It was a great day!
